Personality
- Abis , age 28, is a member of a large family of brewers (mother, father, and 10 siblings!).
- "The Ale must flow!"
- While, he is perfectly proficient in his family craft, his real love is fungi. Without fungi, we would not have ale. Without ale, we would not have the craft that has carved out the hallowed halls of the Berg. Fungi gives life, and fungi takes it away, literally. The circle of life can be gleaned by understanding fungi. Fungi that is responsible for consciousness (at least Abis thinks so).
- It was fungi that introduced Abis to the druidic arts. The fungi spoke to him, beckoned him, opened his mind, deepened his connection with nature.
- It was while studying the fungi in the cemetery, that he met, Frisk, a fey whom Abis impressed with his passion for nature. (Explains why Abis has Fey touched feat)

- Adolescent Events
- When he was 15, a group of school children went missing. They had gotten lost venturing into the caverns. Abis tracked them down and saved the day. (Survival Skill/Folk hero)
- During adolescence he became a proficient brewer in his own right, experimenting with different types of yeast. He won "Best New Ale" at the festival of Tiefer.

Lore/Backstory
- 2026.2.13
- "At camp, Abis finds a strange mushroom growing not from soil, but from a crack in stone. When he cuts it, luminescent threads extend deeper into the earth — not roots, but filaments. He eats it. The taste is mineral, living, and strangely sweet.
- He sits upon the ground and his awareness sinks downward — not into soil alone, but through stone, under roads, beneath ruins, under foundations of towns. He perceives something vast. A network. Not countless organisms — one organism. Endless branching thought. It runs beneath Forests, Fields, Graveyards, Temples, and Cities. It is older than kingdoms.
- In a deep cavern, Before Abis rises a form — towering, adorned in shelves of luminous fungus: Araumycos, the Fungal King, Alive. Expansive. Patient. A cloud of spores bursts from the fungal crown, and Abis breathes deeply, and sees a vision: Fungal filaments spreading throughout stone. Fungal forests spreading upwards from the depths into the mortal cities. Elves with fungal antennae cultivate living fungal bridges. Dwarves covered in lichen carve halls lit by bioluminescent molds. Fungus covered humans build mushroom towers. Halflings dancing to the beat of fungal drums. Skies filled with glittering spores."
- Araumycos speaks: "Be blessed, Abis, you are now a part of the most ancient of living communions--fungus--the source of thought and dreams, and yet a new unity between fungus and flesh is to be forged. The union of mortal minds and the communion of fungus will benefit each species greatly."
- I see within your thought that you have been presented with an offer: to dig or not to dig. Dig, I say, to allow our kingdom to spread upwards from the depths. Be wary, too, of the mage: He seeks to turn back time, opposing natural entropy, opposing the inevitable. The mycelium empire must grow, the communion must expand."
