STE Session 5 Recap

What Happened

Bare Knuckle Brawl

1. After defeating the Silken Coil gang at the Lotus Den, the Party went off towards the Pit.
2. While on their way the encountered a large group of Bare Knuckle Bandits.
3. Siegfried was able to persuade them not to attack the group while Amreth (Joe's Paladin) intimidated them into not taking a toll.
4. Sensing that the party had a great deal of wealth, three of the gangsters attempted to pickpocket our heroes. Two succeeded in being undetected; the one fleecing Galvas was not so lucky.
5. The Party struggled to bring down the oversized and fearless thugs but eventually triumphed gaining some pocket change and a book of debts.
6. The Party rested afterwards at the The Lotus Den of Mirefall Alley.

An Open Palm

1. The Party then used Larry's knowledge to locate the last stronghold of the Bare Knuckles Bandits: the Storehouse of the Fist.
2. While the four remaining sergeants of the Bare Knuckles buried the Sixth Fist, the Party infiltrated the Storehouse.
3. The Fist had died violently in his makeshift bedroom the night before as evidenced by the blood.
4. The Party found a great deal of food and sundry supplies in the Storehouse.
5. Preparing quite the surprise for the grieving bandits, the Party dispatched them with ease upon their return from the cemetery.
6. Exploring the Storehouse a hidden basement was discovered with a giant wolf waiting to pounce!
7. Demonstrating more sense and restraint than the narrator expected, Abis has temporarily tamed the wolf naming him Fluffy. The Party then cleaned up the Storehouse by having Fluffy the corpses of their enemies.
8. Having instructed Larry to bring troops to secure the Storehouse, the Party left for the Pit.

Unlocking the Pit

1. In the midday sun the Party reached the Pit the city's former arena turned into a maze of traps.
2. Showing great skill- and with some help from his friend - Siegfried disarmed the first few traps.
3. The Party was less lucky with some of the odder contraptions they encountered.
4. Eventually, the Party met The Tester the creator of the Pit as well as a vault full of building materials worth approximately 100,000gp.

A Recluse Wizard

1. The Party approached the Warzone - an uninhabited area of Low Town - in search of the Wizard of Explosions.
2. After the hourly bombing of the Warzone, Siegfried snuck into the wizard's abode.
3. To Siegfried's astonishment the mage had collapsed onto a chair and was recovering from exhaustion.
4. After negotiating with Megi Ashcroft the Party has promised her free reign in explosions north of the city in the hill country and a nice tall tower.

Summary of the Session

1. The Party has leveled to fifth level!
2. The Party has taken control over Upper Berg.

Downtime

1. The Party will have one week of downtime for whatever each character wants to do.
2. There will be Meeting of the Berg City Council and Mayor West Adam to decide what to do with Upper Berg.
