STE Session 7 Recap

What Happened

Downtime

Domain Management

  1. Councilor Abis convinced the group to expand the domain to the next four hexes.
  2. A grand debate began about streamlining the domain's administration. Governor Siegfried wisely has delegated the domain scribe - our stalwart narrator - to follow Abis's suggestion for reform.
  3. The Province of Zweiberg built itself up strengthening its stability much.

A Few Extra Mounts

  1. The party decided to keep the gryphons.
    1. Abis got one.
    2. Siegfried took the other.
  2. The party buried the bodies of the gryphon riders with religious rituals.

Monster Hunting

  1. The Party headed Ralph's plea of clearing the swamp in the next hex, Hex 5, of its monster so that trade might flow to Lowgrass.
  2. The Party encountered and fought a young black dragon.
  3. The Party then assaulted the dragon's lair, now only guarded by his kobold minions.
  4. After slaughtering the fiends - who were attempting to flee with the dragon's hoard - the party discovered graffiti indicating that the dragon and its ilk had come form the hills.
  5. The party returned to Lowgrass and gave Ralph the Innkeeper the dragon's head. He renamed his inn, Dragon's Rest.

Bandits?

  1. The party traveled to the next hex north Hex 6 and cleared it easily - it was empty of threats.
  2. The party then traveled to the next hex Hex 7 along the road where they spotted what looked like a bandit camp.
  3. When they visited the camp, they quickly discovered that they were not bandits - far too clean. They made contact with Captain Thomas of the Waystone Cavalry, who was surveying the Eisenfluss Valley for the Duke of Waystone.
  4. The Party and the Captain agreed to an exchange of envoys and towards removing the The Baron of Eisen.

All Along the Watchtower

  1. Following Captain Thomas Hoffman's suggestion, the party of heroes sought to seize a watchtower.
  2. The Party encountered a wandering Triceratops and quickly dispatched it clearing the hex Hex 8 along the way.
  3. In the second hex along the way Hex 9, the Party came to the watchtower.
  4. The party, through cunning and violence, dispatched three of the gryphon riders and took three prisoner.
    1. Siegfried and Galvas kept the baron's ruffians from working together as a team through magic.
    2. Abis, Fluffy, and Amreth knocked down the door so to speak.
    3. Amreth recognized one of the men as a member of the cult that betrayed his unit at the Greenmist Forest Massacre.

What can be done before next time

  1. The party may decide where to travel to next
    1. Continue to explore the Eisenfluss Valley
    2. Go to Waystone to treat with the Duke?
    3. Attack the Baron's outposts?
