What Happened in Session 12

There was no downtime between STE Session 11 and STE Session 12.

Galvas casts mordenkainens-private-sanctum and the party rested for the evening
Seigfired then led the interrogation of Corena Swiftwing, the mercenary captain captured in Session 11
- she was hired after the Green Wedding The Wedding of Sky and Earth
- after capturing Ambassador Al Witts she was to take him two days south to a teleportation circle located south of the Alterpfad
- The Great Canopy wants to prevent Zweiberg and Waystone from having friendly relations
the party then interviewed Ambassador Al Witts of Waystone
- he is supposed to go to the seat of power of the Eisenfluss Valley
- the ambassador asks if Zweiberg is independent of Landermensch
  - the party states that they are loosely affiliated as a free state within the Landermensch
  - the ambassador affirms their free state status believing Zweiberg and Bergstadt to be the same polity
- he explains that his mission is to establish a trade deal with Zweiberg
  - The Duke of Waystone needs to be able to trade through the Eisenfluss Valley
  - custom rate to be decided later
at this point the party suddenly discovered politics and the possibility of taking power over and against Mayor West Adam
the party sends Al Witts to Fort Eisen and Corena to Watchtower 2

a long discussion occurs about whether to go to the teleportation circle or save the hostages
the party eventually decides to rescue the ambassador's entourage
with remarkable precision the party tracks down the second group of giants
the battle against the Hill Giants and their mages is intense
- Abis transforms into a dinosaur!
- Siegfried gives out bardic inspiration!
- Galvas and Amreth are their usual reliable selves
the party, intrigued that almost all the hostages were ladies (and mostly elves), pays attention to an obvious inconsistency
- one of the ambassador's scribes is a Princess of the Blood of the Great Canopy
