The Great Canopy's Society of Magic

The National Council of the Society of Magic for the Great Canopy voted to join the cause of Prince Folen six months before The Great Fire on Greening 5, 1040 O.M.
The Archmage Thamior Hanali, Prince Folen's magical advisor, had convinced the council that neutrality would not be tolerated.
Most of the members reasoned that their support of the Prince would bring the war to a negotiated end quickly.
The one member who objected, Irann Iathrana, escaped after an assassination attempt, into the Stadental Mountains.
The mages who caused the The Great Fire had originally been sent to find her, but they were reassigned to the 2nd Grand Army of the Great Canopy.
